Fix the "No complete question was found in the screenshot" message during an online assessment: capture the whole question, take several screenshots for long questions, then press Assist once.

How to Fix It

1
Why you see this message
InterviewMan answers a screenshot only when the whole question is visible. If part of it is cut off, it shows "No complete question was found in the screenshot" instead of guessing a wrong answer. The steps below make sure the AI sees the full question.
2
Zoom the test page out
Press ⌘ and minus on Mac, or Ctrl and minus on Windows, once or twice (80% or 90% usually works). Stop when the whole question fits on the screen and the text is still easy to read.
3
Make sure the key parts are visible
For a coding task: the problem text, at least one input and output example, and the function signature. For multiple choice: the question and every answer option. Close any popup or banner that covers the question.
4
Long question? Take several screenshots
Scroll to the top of the question and take a screenshot (⌘ + H on Mac, Ctrl + H on Windows, or Screenshot on your phone in Stealth Mode). Scroll down and take another, until you reach the examples. Screenshots wait in the tray until you press Assist, and the AI reads them in order.
5
Press Assist once, at the end
Press Assist only after all parts are captured (⌘ + Enter on Mac, Ctrl + Enter on Windows). If you press it after the first screenshot, the AI sees only part of the question. To remove a bad screenshot from the tray, press ⌘ + D on Mac or Ctrl + D on Windows.
6
Keep the test on your primary screen
The screenshot captures your primary screen (on a Mac, the one with the menu bar). If you use two screens, keep the assessment on the primary one. If you use one screen, skip this step.
7
Fastest fallback: paste the question
Copy the question text from the test page, paste it into the InterviewMan text box, and press Assist. Pasted text is never cut off. For more tips, read our online assessment screenshot guide. Still stuck? Contact support.

Practice Before the Real Assessment

• Open a free practice problem on HackerRank or LeetCode. • Set up exactly as on test day: same screen, same zoom, Stealth Mode if you plan to use it. • Take the screenshots and press Assist. If you see the message, zoom out more or add one more screenshot.

Stealth Mode on Mac

The Mac app stays hidden and your phone shows the full interface: • Arrange the question on your Mac first (zoom out, scroll to the top). • Tap Screenshot on your phone. Tap it again after each scroll for long questions. • Tap Assist on your phone once all parts are captured.
