InterviewMan Student Discount: 25% Off Yearly, 10% Off Monthly

InterviewMan Student Discount: 25% Off Yearly, 10% Off Monthly

Interview prep tools are priced for people who already have a salary. Students have the opposite situation: the most interviews of their life, the least money, and a deadline that does not move. That is why InterviewMan now has a student discount.

Verified students get 25% off the yearly plan or 10% off the monthly plan, with every feature included. This guide covers exactly how much you save, who qualifies, what counts as proof, how to claim it step by step, and how to get the most out of the tool during internship and graduate hiring season. If you only want the short version, go straight to the student discount page.

How much is the InterviewMan student discount?

There are two plans, and both get a discount:

  • Yearly plan: 25% off. $108 per year instead of $144. That works out to $9 per month, and it is the plan most students pick.
  • Monthly plan: 10% off. $27 per month instead of $30. Good if you only need help for one short interview season.

Nothing is stripped out of the student version. You get the same product as a full-price subscriber:

  • Unlimited minutes and unlimited session length.
  • Every interview type, technical and non-technical: coding rounds, LeetCode-style problems, system design, behavioral and case interviews.
  • The highest-quality AI responses, not a downgraded model.
  • Stealth mode, which keeps the overlay invisible during screen sharing on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
  • Interview history export so you can review every answer afterwards.

The discount stays active for 12 months from the day you subscribe. On the yearly plan that covers your whole first year. On the monthly plan it covers 12 renewals. If you are still a student after that, send fresh proof and we extend it for another 12 months.

Who qualifies

The rule is simple: you must be currently enrolled somewhere. In practice that covers three groups.

University and college students. Undergraduate, master's and PhD students at any accredited university or college, anywhere in the world. There is no list of approved schools, and non-US schools qualify the same way.

Bootcamp and vocational students. Coding bootcamps, trade schools, data science programs and other career training count. Bootcamp students are often the ones with the most technical interviews in the shortest time, so this group was never going to be excluded.

High school and secondary students. If you are preparing for a first job, apprenticeship or internship interview while still in school, you qualify. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to send the request for you.

Who does not qualify: recent graduates, alumni, teachers and staff. The offer is tied to being a student right now, not to having been one.

What counts as proof

Verification is done by a person, not a bot, so there is no third-party identity service to sign up for and no form that rejects you because your school is missing from a dropdown. Send any one of these:

  1. An email from your school address. Domains such as
    .edu
    ,
    .ac.uk
    ,
    .edu.au
    ,
    .edu.eg
    or
    .ac.in
are recognized instantly. This is the fastest route because there is nothing to attach.
  2. A photo of your student ID. It needs to show your name and the current term or academic year. You are welcome to blur your ID number, photo or anything else you would rather not share.
  3. An enrollment document. A recent enrollment letter, tuition receipt, class schedule or a screenshot of your student portal that shows your name and the current term.

You do not need to send all three. One clear piece of proof is enough.

How to claim the student discount, step by step

The whole process takes about five minutes of your time, plus the wait for a reply.

Step 1: Create a free InterviewMan account

Sign up and start the free trial. Any email address works, but using your school email now saves a step later because the verification email can come from the same address. You can download InterviewMan for Windows, Mac, iOS or Android, or use it in the browser.

Step 2: Send your proof

Open the student discount page and click Verify My Student Status. That opens a pre-filled email to contact@interviewman.com with the subject line "Student Discount Request". Fill in your name, your school, the email on your InterviewMan account and which plan you want, then attach your proof if you are not sending from a school address.

Prefer to write the email yourself? That works too. Just keep the same subject line so it lands in the right queue.

Step 3: Get your promo code and subscribe

A real person checks your request, usually within a few hours and at most one business day. You get a reply with a personal promo code. Open InterviewMan, go to the upgrade screen, pick the plan you were approved for and enter the code in the promo code field before you pay. The discounted price shows on the checkout screen before you confirm anything.

Your code is personal and single-use, so it will not work for a friend. Send them to the student discount page instead and they can get their own in a day.

Which plan should a student pick?

It depends on how long your interview season is.

Get the student discount

Pick the yearly plan if you are going through campus recruiting, applying for summer internships and graduate roles at the same time, or you expect to interview again within the year. At $9 per month it is 70% cheaper than paying the full monthly price, and it is the plan most students choose. A single interview cycle at a large company can run three or four rounds over several weeks, and most students interview with several companies in parallel.

Pick the monthly plan if you have one specific interview coming up and nothing else on the calendar. At $27 you can cancel after the interview. If a second one appears, you can always switch to yearly later and the student discount still applies as long as your 12-month window is open.

Either way, subscribe through the website checkout. Promo codes are applied there, and the subscription then works on every device, including the mobile apps.

Why students need interview help more than anyone

Most interview advice is written for people who have done this before. A student is usually walking into a formal interview for the first time, often against candidates with years of experience, and the formats have become harder in the last few years.

  • Internship interviews are now real interviews. Big tech and finance run interns through the same coding and behavioral rounds as full-time hires, just with slightly easier problems. Our how to get a job at FAANG guide shows what those rounds look like.
  • Video interviews hide nothing and forgive nothing. On Zoom, Meet and Teams you are on camera the whole time, and a five-second freeze feels like a minute. See our remote interview tips for the setup side.
  • Behavioral questions are hard when you have little work history. "Tell me about a time you handled conflict on a team" is tough to answer from a group project. The STAR method guide helps, and so does having a structured answer suggested to you in real time.
  • Technical rounds are wide. Data structures, system design basics, SQL, take-home reviews. Our technical interview preparation guide covers the ground, but nobody remembers everything under pressure.

InterviewMan listens to the interviewer's question and shows a suggested answer on your screen while you speak. You still do the talking. What changes is that you never blank on a question you actually knew, and you always have a structure to follow. Read how AI interview assistants work if you want the technical detail, and what real users say if you want opinions that are not ours.

Getting the most out of InterviewMan as a student

A few habits make the difference between a tool you tried once and one that gets you the offer.

Practice with it before the real thing. Run a mock interview with AI so the overlay feels familiar. You want to glance at suggestions naturally, not read them word for word.

Load your context. Add your resume, the job description and notes about the company before the interview. The answers become specific to you instead of generic.

Use it for questions, not for a script. The strongest way to use the assistant is as a safety net. Speak from your own experience, and lean on the suggestion when you lose the thread or need a framework for a technical question.

Turn on stealth mode when you share your screen. Coding rounds often require screen sharing. Stealth mode keeps the overlay off the shared feed. Check it in a test call first.

Review your history after each interview. Export the session and look at which questions you struggled with. Campus recruiting means you will hear the same questions again next week at a different company.

Common questions

Can I get the discount if I already pay for InterviewMan?

Yes. Verify as a student and mention the email on your existing account. The discount is applied to your next renewal.

Does the promo code work in the App Store or Google Play?

No. Apple and Google run their own checkout and do not accept our codes. Subscribe through the website, including from the desktop apps, and your plan works on every device, including iOS and Android.

Can I combine it with another discount?

No. It is one discount per subscription. If you already have an active promo, the student discount can be applied when that one ends.

What if my school is not in any database?

There is no database. A person reads your email. If your proof clearly shows your name, your school and the current term, you are approved.

Does it work for students outside the United States?

Yes. The discount is worldwide, and prices are in US dollars on every plan.

What happens after 12 months?

Your subscription continues at the regular price unless you re-verify. If you are still enrolled, send fresh proof and the discount is extended for another 12 months. If you graduated, congratulations, and the regular price applies from the next renewal.

Is there a free option for students?

Every account starts with a free trial, with no credit card required. Use it to make sure the tool fits how you interview before you claim the discount.

Other student discounts worth pairing with it

Since you are already collecting student perks for your job search, a few others are worth checking. Availability and terms change, so confirm on each provider's page.

  • GitHub Student Developer Pack. Free developer tools and cloud credits for verified students, useful for building the portfolio projects interviewers ask about.
  • Notion for students. A free upgraded plan for tracking applications, interview dates and notes in one place.
  • Figma for students. Free professional features for design students preparing portfolio reviews.
  • LinkedIn Premium. Often available with a free month, which is long enough to cover an application sprint and see who viewed your profile.

None of these help you during the live interview itself. That is the gap InterviewMan fills.
