How much is the InterviewMan student discount?
The discount is on the yearly plan:
- Yearly plan: 20% off. $115.20 per year instead of $144. That works out to $9.60 per month.
- Monthly plan: no discount. The monthly plan stays at $30. If you only need a short season, compare it with the student yearly price first: a full year costs less than four months at the monthly price.

Who qualifies
The rule is simple: you must be currently enrolled somewhere. In practice that covers three groups.
University and college students. Undergraduate, master's and PhD students at any accredited university or college, anywhere in the world. There is no list of approved schools, and non-US schools qualify the same way.
Bootcamp and vocational students. Coding bootcamps, trade schools, data science programs and other career training count. Bootcamp students are often the ones with the most technical interviews in the shortest time, so this group was never going to be excluded.
High school and secondary students. If you are preparing for a first job, apprenticeship or internship interview while still in school, you qualify. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to send the request for you.
Who does not qualify: recent graduates, alumni, teachers and staff. The offer is tied to being a student right now, not to having been one.
Do I need to prove I am a student?
No. We do not ask for a student ID, a school email address, an enrollment letter or any other document. There is no third-party identity service to sign up for and no form that rejects you because your school is missing from a dropdown.
You email us, you tell us you are a student and which school you attend, and a person on our team replies with your promo code. We trust you to be honest about it. If you later stop being a student, the discount simply runs out after 12 months and the regular price applies.
How to claim the student discount, step by step
The whole process takes about five minutes of your time, plus the wait for a reply.
Step 1: Create a free InterviewMan account
Sign up and start the free trial. Any email address works. You can download InterviewMan for Windows, Mac, iOS or Android, or use it in the browser.
Step 2: Tell us you are a student
Open the student discount page and click Get My Student Discount. That opens a pre-filled email to contact@interviewman.com with the subject line "Student Discount Request". Fill in your name, your school, the email on your InterviewMan account and which plan you want. Nothing to attach.
Prefer to write the email yourself? That works too. Just keep the same subject line so it lands in the right queue.
Step 3: Get your promo code and subscribe
A real person checks your request, usually within a few hours and at most one business day. You get a reply with a personal promo code. Open InterviewMan, go to the upgrade screen, pick the yearly plan and enter the code in the promo code field before you pay. The discounted price shows on the checkout screen before you confirm anything.
Your code is personal and single-use, so it will not work for a friend. Send them to the student discount page instead and they can get their own in a day.
Is the yearly plan the right choice for a student?
For most students, yes. At $9.60 per month it is 68% cheaper than paying the full monthly price of $30, and a single year of it costs less than four months on the monthly plan. A single interview cycle at a large company can run three or four rounds over several weeks, and most students interview with several companies in parallel, so the season usually lasts longer than it looks at the start.

Get the student discountIf you truly have one interview and nothing else on the calendar, the monthly plan at $30 with no discount is still there. You can cancel it after the interview. But if a second company calls, which happens more often than not during campus recruiting, the student yearly plan is the cheaper option.
Either way, subscribe through the website checkout. Promo codes are applied there, and the subscription then works on every device, including the mobile apps.
Why students need interview help more than anyone
Most interview advice is written for people who have done this before. A student is usually walking into a formal interview for the first time, often against candidates with years of experience, and the formats have become harder in the last few years.

Common questions
Can I get the discount if I already pay for InterviewMan?
Yes. Email us that you are a student and mention the email on your existing account. The discount is applied to your next renewal.
Does the promo code work in the App Store or Google Play?
No. Apple and Google run their own checkout and do not accept our codes. Subscribe through the website, including from the desktop apps, and your plan works on every device, including iOS and Android.
Can I combine it with another discount?
No. It is one discount per subscription. If you already have an active promo, the student discount can be applied when that one ends.
What if my school is not in any database?
There is no database and no proof to check. A person reads your email, sees that you are a student and which school you attend, and sends you the code.
Does it work for students outside the United States?
Yes. The discount is worldwide, and prices are in US dollars on every plan.
What happens after 12 months?
Your subscription continues at the regular price unless you email us again. If you are still enrolled, send us a quick email and the discount is extended for another 12 months. If you graduated, congratulations, and the regular price applies from the next renewal.

Every account starts with a free trial, with no credit card required. Use it to make sure the tool fits how you interview before you claim the discount.
