ठीक है तो Netflix की ये director सीधे आंखों में देखकर बोलती है "आखिरी बार कब manager को गलत बताया जब बाकी लोग देख रहे थे।" Amazon prep से बारह stories ready थीं। बारह। और एक भी उस question के लिए नहीं बनी थी क्योंकि मेरी सारी stories metric better होने और lesson सीखने पर खत्म होती हैं और उसने specifically बोला lesson की care नहीं। जानना चाहती थी कैसा लगा। Manager का चेहरा कैसा था। अभी भी बात करते हो या नहीं। बैठा recalibrate कर रहा था सब कुछ जो behavioral interviews के बारे में सोचता था और वो बस wait कर रही थी।

फिर onsite। यार। आठ rounds, डेढ़ दिन। दो coding, एक system design, पांच conversations random लोगों से जिसमें directors भी उन teams से जिनपर apply भी नहीं किया। Priya बोली directors rotate करते हैं bar honest रखने के लिए orgs में। मेरी chair से बस tribunal जैसा लगा lol। Coding rounds scale और availability चाहते थे जो track करता है एक company के लिए जो millions concurrent streams चलाती है। System design video delivery infrastructure बनाने के बारे में था जो load के नीचे gracefully degrade हो। Standard Netflix domain, tradeoff arguments पर heavy textbook answers पर नहीं।

Culture deck। Priya ने तीन बार separately बोला Netflix में किसी से बात करने से पहले पूरा पढ़ लो। Skim नहीं, पढ़ो। Judgment, candor, courage। Interviews में specific parts लाते हैं और actually नहीं पढ़ा तो पकड़ में आओगे और recover नहीं होगा। रात पहले दो बार पढ़ा और glad हूं क्योंकि director ने पूछा किस part से disagree करता हूं। चाहती थी उनके खुद के document पर उनके मुंह पर push back करूं। लगभग हंस दिया।
सब पर InterviewMan चलाया। डेढ़ दिन में आठ rounds बहुत बात करना है और round छह तक stories के details confuse होने लगे जो चार घंटे पहले बताई थीं। Transcript ने director को contradict करने से बचाया जो, honestly, fatal होता। Coding rounds में IDE screen share पर पढ़ा और approaches fast flag किए। System design में streaming question पर failure cases सोचने में help किया जिन पर hour पांच पर blank हो जाता। Dock, process list, Zoom और IDE setup पर screen recording check किया। कहीं नहीं। बारह रुपये महीना annual, 57,000 users, 20 से ज़्यादा stealth features। Netflix के आठ rounds code और architecture और directors के साथ culture conversations cover करते हैं। Interview Coder दो सौ निन्यानवे पर आठ में से दो cover करता है। बारह dollars सब cover करता है।
