তিন মাসের Prep, চল্লিশ সেকেন্ডে Gone
tech interview loop-এর জন্য তিন মাস prepare করেছি। LeetCode premium, YouTube-তে system design video, বন্ধুদের সাথে mock interview, behavioral question-এ handwritten note। actual interview আসতে আসতে চারটা round type মিলিয়ে probably 200 ঘণ্টা log করেছি। system design round-ই bomb করলাম কারণ interviewer "design a notification pipeline" বলার সাথে সাথে brain empty হয়ে গেলো। camera-তে চল্লিশ সেকেন্ড silence। তিন মাসের কাজ help করেনি কারণ material জানা আর pressure-এর মধ্যে webcam-এ কেউ তাকিয়ে থাকা অবস্থায় perform করা completely দুটো আলাদা জিনিস।
traditional technical interview preparation ধরে নেয় enough study সব fix করে। enough LeetCode grind করলে right algorithm মনে থাকবে। enough system design primer পড়লে component memorize হবে। living room-এ great কাজ করে। তুমি really কাজ করতে চাও এমন company-র senior engineer camera-তে তাকিয়ে practice করা সবকিছু থেকে slightly different question করলে কম great কাজ করে।
Tech Interview Prep-এ AI কোথায় Fit করে
tech interview-এর AI tool দুই group-এ পড়ে। এক group interview-এর আগে study-তে help করে -- mock generator, question bank, resume builder। অন্য group interview-এর সময় help করে, behind the scene চলে আর interviewer কথা বলতে বলতে suggestion feed করে। দ্বিতীয় group অনেক বেশি useful পেয়েছি কারণ সেটা actually যে problem ছিলো সেটা solve করে, pressure-এ freeze হওয়া।
real time tech interview tool তুমি যা জানো সেটা replace করে না। actual job-এ rate limiter আর notification system build করেছি। কিন্তু interviewer camera-তে তাকিয়ে scratch থেকে design করতে বললে blank হয়ে যাই। mid-sentence-এ component screen-এ pop up হওয়া কথা বলা চালু রাখে silence-এ বসে থাকার বদলে যেটা system design round-এ worst outcome।

Interview Coder 2.0 মাসে দুইশো ঊননব্বই ডলার charge করে। শুধু coding interview cover করে। কোনো behavioral না, system design না, technical discussion না। শুধু algorithmic problem। overlay screenshare-তে দেখা যায় বলেও report আছে যেটা entire purpose defeat করে।
Final Round AI মাসে $148 থেকে শুরু। সবচেয়ে সস্তা usable plan ছয় মাসের জন্য $486 upfront দিলে মাসে $81। সব interview type cover করে যেটা coding-only-র চেয়ে better কিন্তু live call-এ test করতে lag চার-পাঁচ সেকেন্ড ছিলো। technical interview round-এ যেখানে think আর talk একসাথে করতে হয় ওই delay pause তৈরি করে interviewer notice করে।
Sensei AI মাসে $89 বা annual billing-এ প্রায় $24। Final Round-এর চেয়ে faster suggestion। কিন্তু browser-এ চলে আর দুজনকে চিনি যাদের screenshare-তে close call হয়েছে interviewer full screen access চাইলে। একজন fintech-এ, অন্যজন mid-size startup-এ। কেউ advance করেনি।

Round by Round কেমন হয়
full technical interview loop-এ সাধারণত চার-পাঁচ round থাকে। tool প্রতিটায় differently কাজ করে আর কিছু round বেশি benefit পায়।
যেটা surprise করেছে সেটা বলি। ভেবেছিলাম tool coding-এ সবচেয়ে বেশি help করবে কারণ algorithm question-এ right বা wrong answer আছে। কিন্তু না। behavioral round-এই সবচেয়ে বেশি difference হলো। বন্ধু Marcus mock-এ জিজ্ঞেস করলো "tell me about a time you dealt with a disagreement on your team" আর ছয় সেকেন্ড story pick করতে বসে থাকলাম। tool চালু থাকলে screen-এ STAR framework পাই আর দুই সেকেন্ডের মধ্যে কথা বলা শুরু করি। same story always ছিলো, শুধু delivery fumble করা বন্ধ হলো। দুজন real interviewer feedback-এ "good communication" mention করেছে ব্যবহার শুরু করার পরে। আগে কখনো হয়নি।
technical discussion round যেখানে past project নিয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করে সেখানে tool সবচেয়ে কম দরকার। actual job-এ লেখা code নিয়ে কথা বলছি তাই অতটা blank করি না। tool safety net হিসেবে বসে থাকে trade-off question-এর জন্য কিন্তু mostly glance করি না।
coding-এই বন্ধু Marcus কিছু শিখিয়েছে। full solution mode চালিয়ে problem দেখা থেকে flawless function type করতে প্রায় 15 সেকেন্ড নিচ্ছিলো। interviewer জিজ্ঞেস করলো "did you have this prepared beforehand।" তো hint mode-এ switch করলো। এখন complete code-র বদলে "sliding window, track the max, watch the empty array edge case" এরকম পায়। নিজে normal speed-এ code লেখে আর কেউ suspect করে না। ওর setup copy করলাম আর coding round অনেক smoother হলো।
system design-ই যেখানে tool নিজের price pay করে দিয়েছে। InterviewMan-এর আগে system design-এ zero for three। interviewer "design a payment processing pipeline" বললে brain empty হয়ে যায়। tool ব্যবহার শুরু করার পরে চারটার তিনটায় pass করেছি। difference হলো screen-এ component আসে তাই কথা বলতে থাকি প্রথমবারের মতো 40 সেকেন্ড silence-এ বসে থাকার বদলে।
আগে কেউ বললে ভালো হতো
speed আগে। technical interview tool live call-এ দুই সেকেন্ডের বেশি নিলে camera-তে freeze হবে। mock করে time করো।
তারপর desktop overlay versus browser tab check করো। fintech-এ বন্ধু browser-based tool-এ ধরা পড়েছিলো। desktop overlay-তে ওই risk নেই।
